INTRODUCING NOWHERE TO BE FOUND
NOWHERE TO BE FOUND is an alternative metal act hailing from Ericeira, Portugal founded in 2014 and lining up high school friends Tiago Duarte at vocals and rhythm guitar, Manel Gomes at bass guitar, Miguel Rodrigues at drums and new lead guitarist João Quintais.
Nowhere To Be Found debuted with first studio album Safe Haven in 2016 and currently working on their sophomore album set to be released in 2019. The record is under the production stage at WRecords Studios belonging to Wilson Silva, drummer for More Than A Thousand. It has involved Swedish bespoken “2017 Producer of The Year” Henrik Udd, known for having collaborated with Architects and Bring Me The Horizon.
After releasing new single CLOSER featuring Emily Lazar of September Mourning in 2018, on February 7th, 2019 the band unleashed TRAVERSE, a brand new track off the upcoming album featuring Matty Mullins, vocalist of Memphis May Fire. The single has been mastered by NY based Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen, known for having worked with Metallica, Deftones, Slipknot, Greed Day, Muse, Coldplay. A further new single – still under wraps – will host guest vocals by Tyron Layley of Londoner band New Volume.
Massively inspired by metalcore, especially by Architects and latest record Holy Hell, Nowhere To Be Found are embarking a heavier journey with their forthcoming effort.
NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. TRAVERSE FEAT. MATTY MULLINS
Nowhere To be Found have created their own signature sound spanning from metalcore to the alternative metal soundscape with a tested formula of heavy instrumental and melodic clean vocals. With their ambitious new single Traverse they come and fire on all cylinders. The song is revolving around relatable lyrics discussing the end of a toxic and abusive relationship and love seen from the other side of the coin. This is a massive arena rock anthem with a catchy chorus and plenty of energy on the down tuned guitars reminiscent of metalcore. The song is consistent and powerful on the vocal expressivity with Tiago’s vocals transitioning to Matty’s and vice versa, mixing and matching their registers. I simply love how Matty Mullin’s vocals blend into the tune of the song making the chorus even more unforgettable. Riffing is backdropped with a generous layer of synth, keyboards and piano. The ride is enjoyable, so looking forward to what Nowhere To be Found have in store for 2019.
