Aussie quintet IN DECEPTION make their comeback to the scene. Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, the band launched in 2017 and released their debut EP LORE in May 2018.

Laying their foundation on jamming music as high school friends, their sound is influenced by A Day To Remember, Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Ocean Grove, Bullet For My Valentine, All Time Low and Mayday Parade drawing on different inspirations and genres. The band has toured Australia and shared the stage with names such as with Dream On Dreamer, Deez Nuts, Foxblood, Nothing, Dregg, Arkive and many more.
Kicking off their journey with LORE EP in 2018, In Deception have discussed life challenges along with concepts of sharing the knowledge and bridging the gap between two worlds. In Deception are now back with a brand new single, THE GRACE CAGE, which was released in February 2019 and was produced, mixed and mastered by Nick Sjogren.
IN DECEPTION. THE GRACE CAGE.
In Deception come out of the block in scintillating fashion with The Grace Cage boasting an amazing production.
This is one of their best releases to date, combining a rich texture of melody with full-on metalcore. An intro of piano and eerie atmospheres lead to clean vocals reminiscent of bands such as From Ashes To New and layering some rap metal underneath. Same as the outro, which will draw to a close on a harmonious arpeggio instead. The rapped verses feed us into a very emotional anthemic chorus. Clean vocals with their mesmerizing melodies are answered by more intense mid growls.
With The Grace Cage, In Deception bring to the table an overall sick riffing made of some fabulous melodic leads and great guitar solo, along with down tuned guitars delight of metalcore fans alike. This is complemented by a sweet groove on the heavier side of things.
The performance quality is high throughout, both vocally and instrumentally achieving an emotional delivery that truly makes The Grace Cage stand out as distinctive and passionate. After this fabulous new material, we’re looking forward to what In Deception has in store in 2019.
The Grace Cage is now Available on all streaming platforms.
