Along with the announcements, Faminehill has unleashed new single RUIN off the upcoming album, out via a visualette video premiering via Dreambound on YouTube.
New single by Faminehill, RUIN, is a highly recommended listen for those who are seeking a heavy-melodic formula into metalcore reflected by the harsh-clean dichotomy at double vocals, and crunch-clean combination at guitar.
Faminehill come out of the block in sparkling fashion, starting with a soothing blend of melody and clean vocals, courtesy of Tamas Stefan, and 45 seconds of melodic introduction on clean guitar licks and gentle synth. The song takes the listener into a journey of relatable lyrics and melancholic grooves.
The intro builds up bittersweet feelings, snapped by a massive breakdown and ominous harsh vocals, courtesy of Milan Rockov. The track encompasses a level of full-throttled intensity with sick riffs, thick basslines, and pounding beats while introducing a catchy chorus supported by a beautiful clean lead. Transition between clean and harsh vocals as well as their combination fully promotes the overall melodic flow of the song. Holding the listener by the hand on the delicious chorus, soothing and passionate (a sing-along must!) and pushing into a ferocious hellscape, the song stands out as Faminehill’s promising business card.
“Ruin is a mixture of anger and bitterness, it’s aggressive but melodic. The song is about losing someone close to you. As we try to overcome grief, anger is one of the many stages of a long and painful process. It is all about dealing with injustice, when a good person passes away too soon and you cannot overcome the fact, especially when people who deserve half the kindness of this world are still thriving, living an easy life, and the ones we hold dearest aren’t here with us anymore.” Tamas Stefan, FAMINEHILL.
